Volunteers Needed
Since its inception, CARE Center has relied heavily on its generous volunteers. They are not just helpers – they are family.
VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our CARE Volunteer program asks volunteers to commit for a minimum of one month, beginning at the first of each month. The volunteer responsibilities include:
- Working 24-32 hours a week
- Answering phones
- Driving residents to doctor appointments
- Checking in residents at meal times
- Light cleaning in dining room
- On-call shifts (including overnight)
- Minimal cash register transactions
- Miscellaneous tasks (“honey-dos”) for residents
WE PROVIDE:
In exchange for their time and service, volunteers are provided a 50 amp full hookup RV site (electricity and propane fees extra) in our Livingston CARE Center.
We also provide three meals a day, seven days a week.
During the warmer summer month (June – September), volunteers receive a $100 credit towards their electricity to offset higher charges.
There is also a small laundry room that the volunteers can use without charge.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:
- Are physically able to perform light cleaning (wiping all dining room tables and chairs after meals)
- Feel comfortable driving CARE minivans with passengers
- Agree to a criminal background check and review of current driving record for moving violations
- Have a helpful, compassionate, and flexible attitude
For couples, we kindly ask that each individual fills out a separate form.
